Frequently asked questions

  • The way that your skin looks naturally will determine the end results of the makeup...this means that in order to achieve the look you are desiring, skin prep is THE most important element!

I will provide a customized consultation before we begin to discuss your current skincare routine as well choose products for your wedding makeup that will suit your skin type.

The skin prep includes a toner, hydrating serum, lymphatic drainage facial massage with a facial roller, serum-infused eye gels, lip scrub, lip mask, and moisturizer. This will ensure the best application as well as longevity :)

Plus, who doesn’t want to get pampered on their wedding day?

  • Bridal previews are a bespoke 2 hour session that will not only allow us to meet and get to know each other, but also to solidify your bridal look :)

The weddings where I have done a preview in advance always go 10x smoother on the morning of!

I want you to feel confident in your look at the end of the day.

  • Previews take place 1-2 months before the wedding date. This may seem too late, but A LOT of things can change if they are done any sooner (ex: hair color, self-tanner, makeup vision, etc.) The closer this is to the actual wedding, the fresher it will be in both our minds.

The preview will take place at my in-home studio in Fort Wayne, IN. I will reach out to you when it’s time to get it scheduled! The Bridal Guide PDF that you receive when booking will provide inspo and prep tips for this session as well.

  • Bridal applications take approximately 1 hour while the other applications will take about 45 minutes. The more bold the makeup, the longer it will take. These time frames also account for clean up, sanitation, and re-setting up between the applications.

  • Everyone getting makeup services will receive a customized lip color sample, oil blotting sheets, mints, makeup remover wipe, a straw, and all essential applicators.

I ALWAYS throw a little extra in for the bride such as extra blotting sheets, loose powder sample, lash glue, and even some bobby pins just in case :)

  • If your bridal party is over 5 people, I require an additional artist. This will not only let you get some more beauty sleep in the morning, but will also ensure all the applications get done on time :)

Another artist may also be needed if there is a tighter timeline that does not allow us to get done in the time frame needed.

There will be a $150 fee per artist that accounts for the security, communication, coordination, and any travel fees associated with that artist.

  • I do require that the amount of services are finalized at the time of booking. This is purely due to the fact that any last minute changes in timing or people can alter whether or not I need a secondary artist.

I hire other freelance artists that I know and trust who tend to get booked fairly quickly. I do not want to run the risk of not being able to secure them in time or have to let them go if their services are not needed come wedding day.

  • No, and here’s why... Airbrush is just another method of application such as a brush or a sponge. It tends to be more of a one-size fits all product... which does not exist. Makeup should be customizable! This is why I prefer the traditional liquid foundations to curate a look that is perfect for you and your preferences :)

  • I take the health and safety of my client's very seriously so I make sure I abide by the utmost sanitation procedures.

To prevent cross-contamination, I always spray all of my powder products with 70% Isoprophyl alcohol, depot all creams onto a clean palette, use a clean set of brushes on each person, and never reuse sponges. If you have any addition question, feel free to ask!

  • Skin sensitivities can be tricky since they can be broken up by irritants and allergies. If you know of a specific product or ingredient that tends to cause a reaction, I am more than happy to check all product labels if given notice in advance.

However, if the sensitivity is more of an irritant, it is hard to narrow this down on my end. If this is the case, I would highly suggest scheduling a preview with me to make sure the products used will not cause any reaction.

Previews are included for my brides so this is referencing anyone in the party.
